Nicol volt a kilencedik kieső ebben a Topmodell leszek szezonban.Although it seemed like she didn’t have much to say while she was still on the show, she’s ready to let loose now in this interview. Find out what she had to say about the experience.

With so many other strong personalities this season, it was hard for Nicole to really stand out. Besides her fiery red hair, there isn’t much else to remember her for, except for the fact that the judges forgot her. In this interview, Nicole discusses what she could have done to stick out more, if she even wanted to stick out more, and if she thinks modeling is really what she wants to do. RealityNewsOnline: What happened, Nicole? It took nine episodes to finally get to know you, and then you are leaving! Where were you the whole time?

Nicole: I was staying out of the drama since it didn’t appeal to me! We didn’t have a lot of time for sleeping, so when we weren’t at a shoot or a challenge, I was catching up on some sleep, and I guess they didn’t find that very interesting.

RNO:Did Tyra really forget you at the elimination ceremony or was that just an act?

Nicole: Honestly, I just think she wasn’t able to see me. I was in a really awkward place, and Yaya was blocking me. The camera had a really good shot of me, but from where Tyra was standing, she probably had some trouble seeing me, but in her mind, I’m thinking I was already gone.

RNO: You said you didn't want to put your personality on display to be "picked to pieces," do you see that as a mistake now? p>

Nicole: Yes and no. I say yes because it didn’t serve me at all, but at the same time, if people really want to get to know me, I’m all for that. I’m very easy to talk to, and I’m not this enigma that can’t be solved – I’m very personable!

RNO:I remember when I first read your profile and it listed your occupation as a “former punk rocker.” To this day, I have no idea what that is. Could you explain?

Nicole: What DOES that mean? I’m in the same boat as you! I grew up in the punk rock lifestyle, but as I grew up, I realized that being punk rock isn’t something I have to show at all times, and can still dress how I want and look how I want yet still believe in what other punk rockers do. I’m more informed now, and when they say it was my occupation, I just think they mean I was a stereotype, but threw it off myself.

RNO: What do you think you could or should have done differently to stick out more?

Nicole: I should have brought my sarcastic sense of humor to the panel. I wouldn’t be rude, but actually, I would say that I was too polite at times, overly polite! If I had something controversial to say, I wouldn’t, simply for the fact that it was inappropriate. Oh well though!

RNO: What kind of critiques were you given by the judges before your elimination?

Nicole: Basically, I was told that it looked like I had given up and simply did the commercial because I had to do a commercial and was nothing extraordinary. The whole thing seemed scripted, but I don’t think it was. I didn’t give up – not once. I fought with the judges when they said I was giving up, but that wasn’t shown. Don’t ask me why.

RNO: What was your experience in Tokyo like? Would you ever want to live there?

Nicole: I loved Tokyo, but wouldn’t want to live there simply for the fact that I have studied other cultures and would like to experience other places first. Tokyo is very beautiful and the culture is rich, and I would love to visit again. However, I’d love to live in Italy, or even Jamaica, where we did our other shoot!

RNO: Do you think it was fair that you only had a half hour to learn to perfectly speak part of another language? It could take people years to perfectly speak another language!

Nicole: Yes, and especially since it was Japanese, which is one of the hardest languages to learn. I wanted to take it in high school, but I was a senior and a teacher of mine said it could take some five to ten years to speak it easily. I took three years of French in high school, and picked it up easily. Japanese was very extreme though, but still a lot of fun to get to learn something new.

RNO: Which photo in your portfolio are you the most proud of?

Nicole: I’d say that the roller skating one and the first beauty shot are the two I’m the most proud of. I got great critiques on both of them, when I had worried that both weren’t my best. I loved the spider one too, simply for the fact that it was so difficult for me to get the spider where I wanted it, and the shot came out great.

RNO:Which of the girls would you say you were the closest to and why?

Nicole: I would say Norelle. My nickname for her when I was there was Little Sister. We liked the same type of music and she’s so sweet. There is nothing negative in her at all. She’s amazing and I’m glad I got to meet her, and excited to continue my friendship with her.

RNO: Did everyone hear Eva when she said she hoped Norelle did poorly, or was it just something that she said to Ann? What did you think when you finally did hear it?

Nicole: I thought it was really snotty for her to say that. Yes, it is a competition, but you have to remain positive. For her to say that Norelle is her friend, then to hope she does bad is just wrong. I never actually heard her say it – it had gotten back to me. Norelle would never say that about Eva or any of the other girls, and didn’t deserve it. If Eva had said it about anyone else, it would have been okay – like me, Yaya, or Amanda. But Norelle is so innocent – it was out of line.

RNO: Before the most recent elimination, was there ever a time that you thought you were in danger of going home?

Nicole: No, there really wasn’t. The only time I even contemplated that I was the one going home was this past week. It’s weird how you get the feeling it’s you when you are standing there.

RNO: Was it obvious to you when Tyra forgot you that it was probably you going home, or did you think you would slip under the wire again?

Nicole:That was a big red flag that I was probably going home. And you know what? If I didn’t go home at that elimination ceremony, I would have gone home the week after. There was something else going on, and the favorites were picked. I wasn’t one of them, and it’s the judges’ choice and I have to live with that. I’m over it now, but when I was eliminated, I was pretty upset.

RNO: What are you up to now? Do you still want to pursue modeling once the show is finished?

Nicole:I would like to do some modeling, but I want to do some acting even more. As for right now though, I have all the free time in the world, so I took up piano and I’m doing some singing since I’m a musician as well. I’m laying down some tracks and hopefully going to record a CD!

RNO: Is there anything you would like to say to fans of the show or maybe tell us something about Nicole that we didn’t get to see on the show?

Nicole: Oh, I was constantly singing! Every spare second I had I was singing a song. Kelle and Amanda were my roommates and would always ask me to sing a song. You didn’t get to see that because in order to show me singing, they would have to get an okay from the person whose song I was singing. If I made up weird songs like Amanda, they could have shown it, haha!

How did you come to be o­n America’s Next Top Model?
 
I saw o­ne of my friends applying for the show and decided that it was something I could do, so I went to the casting call waited six hours in line and from there it’s history.

Have you always wanted to be a model?
 
Yes, I started modeling around the age of 15 and had an agent. I ended up doing a hair show with Paul Mitchell and Bed Head.
 
How do you think your ANTM experience will change your future?
 
I believe my future has taken a 180-degree turn. I was in retail prior to this show and currently do not have plans to go back. Also I will be relocating from Seattle to Los Angeles to pursue a career in acting. I would like to be more involved in independent films to start, o­nes with juicy content.
 
 
What advice would you give to aspiring models trying out for the next season of ANTM?
 
I suggest you put your best foot forward, be a pleasure to work with and most importantly be yourself. Display a positive attitude and be enthusiastic it really makes a difference.
 
 
Is there anything you saw that your competition did well or something you learned not to do because of another example?
 
I just recommend that you go and give 100% of yourself. I didn’t try to be model, I didn’t try to get too ready for the casting calls, I just went as my normal self. I think that is what the judges were looking for.
 
 
Knowing what you know now, would you do it all again?
 
Yes, though I wouldn’t probably be as polite or professional. I think that my lack of attitude might have hurt me in the competition

Sometimes it’s hard to become friends with the competitors, did you find that true? If so, which contestant did you clash with most and why?
 
Norelle and Yaya I became close with. I will stay in touch with them. Yes there were some catfights but I tried to avoid them, most of them were petty like the brownie incident over dinner.
 
 
What was your favorite moment o­n the show?
 
My favorite part of the show was going to Jamaica. I had never been before so it was great to experience the climate, views etc.
 
 
If you could change o­ne thing about yourself, what would it be?
 
 
For the show I wished I had toned up a little more and prepped more to be a model. Also I wish I had some time before the show to make some shirts that would have given me my own style (i.e.: “Bring the boys back home”) in regards to Iraq. I am not as quiet as the show made me out to be, I like to discuss controversial topics and I challenge myself to learn more and educate myself.
